Summer Time Fresh

Here is a couple simple recipes you can make to really splash up your summertime fun. Your guests and family will love the flavours of this infused water.

Another quick idea are these orange and rosemary ice cubes. Great flavour to add to water, mixed drinks or ice tea. The look alone will win you big points as its fresh colours and aromas will compliment the presentation.

Infused Water & Ice Cubes

Refresh your drink with this Cucumber & Mint Infused water.
Prep Time 12 hours
Course Drinks

Equipment

  • large water container

Ingredients
  

  • 1 small cucumber slices and remove seeds
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint lightly muddle
  • 8 cups fresh water

Instructions
 

  • add all the ingredients together and place in the fridge for minimum 4 hours but 12 or more hours are even better. Use within 2 days and discard cucumber and mint after finished. ( do not refill with same cucumber and mint after 2 days. Use fresh)

Infused Ice Cubes

Equipment

  • ice cube tray

Ingredients
  

  • 1 half orange
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions
 

  • Chop orange and rosemary into small enough pieces to fit into each cube tray.
  • Use a kettle and double boil the water and let cool. (makes ice cubes less cloudy when frozen).
  • once water has cooled fill the ice cube tray and place in freezer for 12 hours.
  • add frozen cubes to your drink of choice and enjoy.
